Information For Donators Who Want To Donate To

Child Aid Foundation”

On the 2nd and 3rd of May 2008, Cyclone Nargis ravaged through Irrawaddy Delta region and Yangon Province, leaving behind many orphans who lost their parents during this catastrophe. Our foundation’s main goal is to help the unfortunate children who were affected by Cyclone Nargis alleviate the financial and psychological problems of them and create their better future. We would like to inform that anyone who is interested in helping these kids in order to return to their normal lives. However, there are three types of support:

1) Legal adoption like a biological son or daughter

2) Sponsoring a kid in order to provide his/her education and accommodation for

his/her better future like a niece or a nephew.

3) Fund-raising through a non-government organization with dedicated funding for the child’s educational, food or lodging (depending on the amount of money received, the time span of the support towards kids will be varied from 3 to 5 years or until they graduate)

Our foundation, “Child Aid Foundation”, will be focusing on the third one. Therefore, we highly suggest $10.00 per month for each kid throughout a whole year which sums up $120.00 by the end of the year. According to this plan, a donor can choose to donate $10.00 per month or give a generous gift of $120.00 that will help a kid for one whole year. However, any donor who doesn’t wish to commit to a one year gift can still donate as much as he/she wants. For anyone who donates one year gift to help Cyclone Nargis affected kids, our foundation will send out the individual kid’s photo and personal profile.

On the other hand, for donors who want to choose support type 1 and 2, “Child Aid Foundation” will help arrange a meeting for them to meet with the kids. We do also help with shipping clothes and food for the kids who were affected by Cyclone Nargis. In the case of adopting a child, we would like to inform that it is the donors’ responsibility to finish any necessary legal paperwork from both countries to legally adopt a kid.

“Child Aid Foundation” appreciates and highly acknowledges your benevolence and kindness towards the kids in improving their lives and creating a better future for them, and as a non-profit foundation, we will also do our best to keep helping them as much as we can.

Best regards,

Child Aid Foundation
